Exceptional girls push their limits," says Sharon Ajide, inciting girls from 60 secondary schools.
Africa Day is set aside to celebrate the birth of the Africa Union and the unity of African states. Sharon Ajide, FALA Star Winner 2013, memorialized this day with a quest to raise future female leaders for Africa at a Girls' Leadership Conference dubbed 'Keeping It Real'!
Girls arriving at the event venue.
400 young girls enthusiastically gave their hearts to Christ after listening to the main speaker for the event, the man of God, Rev. (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome, who spoke to their innate desire to win in life via the video message, 'Success Motivation'. All of the new converts were blessed with free copies of the bestseller, 'the Power of Your Mind'.

Seasoned facilitators at the May 27 event educated the delegates on different aspects of teenage girlhood. FALA Ambassador, Susan Leung, discussed self-esteem. Susan Dare spoke to the girls on developing healthy relationships, while Miss Bunmi Daramola taught on the entrepreneurial teenage girl. "Exceptional girls push their limits, believe in themselves and put their thoughts and words into action," Sharon Ajide said to the delegates.

The program concluded in a debate among 5 of the 60 schools present. The girls supported or opposed the motion that 'A Female President is Better for Nigeria'. Participants received trophies or medals, while each school received 20 copies of 'the Power of Your Mind' for their libraries. A review of the book is to commence in those schools next week.
